When I first started my business, I definitely thought I’ve bitten off more than I could chew. It was so much to do every day, so much to learn, and so much information out there on how to do it. It just felt like everyone else was doing 80 mph in the fast lane to social media success and I was trying to catch up—on a bike.
If I could’ve just had a solid foundation to follow, somebody who knows how it feels to be the little guy, like hello, it’s me down here! Well, your friends at Now Trending are here to lend a helping hand.
We want to make sure you have the right tools to social media success. So here are the 20 amazing tools that made social media management easier, especially when I first got into the industry.

This was one of my very first apps I downloaded and it’s super easy way to create attractive visuals. Not only is it super easy to use, it saves so much time and work by “automagically” transforms text and photos into amazing designs.

With this app, you can create full feature length films, at the ease of your own fingertips. I use this all the time and it’s by far my favorite video editing tool. Not only can you choose from seven story guides to get you started, you can add pictures, and stock music to the fun! I almost guarantee you’ll get literal thumb stopping content out of this bad boy!
Flipagram
One of the classics. Flipagram was launched on November 18th, 2013 and has been a major player in the game ever since; winning the awards “Top Free App”on Google Play and “Best Of” App on ITunes. Flipagram helps the user, or “Flipster”, tell his or her story by combining photos and music together into one beautiful slideshow. Flipagram helps you get featured, gain fans, and get likes and climb your way up the Top Flipstars ladder.

Seeing the world in the lens of Vincent Van Gogh is just to start. With this app you can Add real time art filters and motion tracking stickers to your creations. Now although it’s only available for Instagram and Facebook, boomerang is definitely for those who may be shy of staring in an actual video. Boomerang lets you enjoy your moments, forward and backwards, by editing your photo into a captivating loop that you can share with your friends. Now you can create a live action GIF from any and everywhere!

Trello is an organization sidekick used by professionals, screenwriters, moms, and anyone managing a big project! Referred as a “Lifehacker”, Trello lets you create boards to manage anything you’re doing, invite and collaborate ideas with coworkers, add check lists, assignments and customize workflows for different projects. Is it crazy that “knowledge and experience of Trello” was actually a required skill on a resume? That might be a hint to get this app downloaded and use it as a marketable skill.

You can message, delegate, share information and add attachments to your projects whether you’re at the desk or on the go. Slack is the one stop place for your team management needs!

Later
Overall, Later.com is a worthy social media scheduling tool that has the added benefit of being affordable. While it may put an emphasis on Instagram, that doesn’t mean that it short-shifts the other platforms that it supports. So, whether you’re a blogger, small business owner, or anyone else in need of a social media management tool, I honestly think that Later.com is a good place to start.
Stock Photos
Nappy.Co
What I love about Nappy.co is that they cater to diversity! Their mission is to provide beautiful, high-res photos of black and brown people to startups, brands, agencies, and everyone else. Nappy makes it easy for companies to be purposeful about representation in their designs, presentations, and advertisements.
Pixabay
It’s not many places you can match free with high quality. Pixabay has over 850,000 free stock photos, vectors, and illustrations, all ready for personal and commercial usage. Pixabay makes it simple to copy, modify, and distribute photos free of copyrights.
Pexels
What I love about pexels is that it not only has stock photos but stock videos as well. These photos and videos you can use for personal and commercial use. Pexels took the liberty of categorizing their content, making it easier for the user to find, share, utilize without even having to share attributions.
These tools have saved me a ton of time, money, and sanity when I first became a social media manager. The key is to find the one that works for you, feel free to experiment and see what works naturally with you, your schedule, and your brand.
